Install and update the app

Install fluesta on your Mac or PC — dictation works only in the desktop app, not in the browser.

Applies to

• macOS and Windows
• Active fluesta account (beta access via waitlist)

Download the app

1. Sign in to the web dashboard.
2. Follow the download link on the home page or onboarding card.
3. macOS: Open the .dmg and drag fluesta to Applications.
4. Windows: Run the NSIS installer and follow the steps.

First launch

On first launch, fluesta opens a dedicated onboarding window (permissions, hotkey practice, test dictation). See Grant permissions.

Updates

fluesta checks for updates on launch (signed builds).

1. When an update is available, a banner appears on the home screen or under Settings → About.
2. Download the update and confirm installation — fluesta restarts afterward.
